How-to book but for boats

marine trailer repairersOkay I’m going to be honest here, I’m not really sure what’s out there in the book market, but I have a really great idea for a book. I recently started going fishing and have been absolutely loving it. The complete freedom of it is absolutely intoxicating, to feel the salty sea air against my skin and breathe it into my lungs is rejuvenating. Late one night, I’ll admit it, on a little bit of a whim, I put a bid in for a boat on online and to my amazement, I won it. So then, naturally, I had to get all the other bits and bobs that go with being the proud owner of a boat and I have to tell you, it was a freaking minefield. I couldn’t tell one thing apart from any other. I was as lost as a needle in a haystack.

All I kept thinking was that I wished there was some kind of guide about what I’d need. I mean, I got into a bucket load of trouble when I bought a pretty dodgy trailer and then had to try and find a place that could perform marine trailer repairs on pretty short notice. Luckily for me, the guys I found were amazing. A true force to be reckoned with. They showed me the ropes and helped me really work out what I did and didn’t need. Everything they taught me, from when it’s likely to rain from the clouds to the best way to work an anchor winch in Melbourne, well, it would be the perfect kind of stuff to put in a book. And, since I was so lost when I was going through the whole process on my own, I figure it could be really useful to someone out there. Make their life a lot easier, you know? Let me know what you think.
